All interested women are invited to join us for a late afternoon barbeque and a Full Moon/ Equinox beach party. Whether you are a curious beginner, or an experienced practitioner, you are welcome to attend.  Come early (any time after noon) if you would like to enjoy the sun and surf. 

What to bring:

• your own food, beverage
• parking money ($6)
• beach wear
• personal necessities: medication, sunscreen, hygiene supplies
• layered outer wear (it gets quite windy in the late afternoon)
• a couple of pieces of fire wood
• beach chair
• ideas (to share during the ritual) about balance, contrast, and transition in your life, in the world, in nature

• a cooking fire
• paper plates, plastic cutlery
• cooking utensils (but no pots)
• a great full moon/equinox celebration

• We will be securing the fire ring early in the day so you can come as early as 12 noon to play in the surf and sun
• BBQ: we will start the BBQ fire for dinner at 4:30 pm
• Ritual: arrive by 6:30 for the ritual if you want to skip dinner
• Bonfire: after the ritual, until 10 pm when the park closes

Bolsa Chica State Beach is in Huntington Beach, on Pacific Coast Highway between Golden West and Warner.  To get there, take the 405 freeway, and exit on Golden West.  Go toward the ocean (south!) on Golden West.  Turn right on Pacific Coast Highway.  Look for the Bolsa Chica State Beach Entrance.

There will be a $6 parking fee at the kiosk.  Head northwest up the beach. That is, after you pay your parking fee, take the right fork (instead of the u-turn) option after the kiosk.

Precisely where to find us:
Call Barbie's cell phone at 626 824-4992 before you set out for our exact location, as we will not know that until we get there. Look for signs that say COMMA.

RULES/ COMMENTS:

• PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE AFTER 6:30 pm, as it would disrupt our full moon celebration.
• This event is for WOMEN ONLY.  Please respect our desire for woman-only space. You may bring your daughters (or granddaughters, nieces, sisters, mothers, girlfriends, etc.)
• Please understand that this is a public beach, so don't be disappointed that we don't have much privacy.
• Restrooms at the beach were under remodel when we last visited the beach (in August).  Be prepared for primitive facilities (a euphemism for porta-potties).
